HIKMICRO LYNX 3.0 LH25 Thermal Monocular

The HIKMICRO LYNX 3.0 LH25 Thermal Monocular combines sensitive thermal imaging, advanced image processing and a compact handheld design. Built for outdoor observation, it helps users detect heat signatures in darkness and low-visibility conditions without relying on visible light.

With a 384 × 288 thermal sensor, a 25mm F1.0 lens and a detection range of up to 1,200 metres, the LH25 offers a useful balance of detection distance and field of view. Its intuitive controls, high-resolution AMOLED display and rechargeable, replaceable battery make it a versatile option for wildlife observation, countryside use and other outdoor applications.

Sensitive 384 × 288 thermal imaging

At the heart of the HIKMICRO LYNX 3.0 LH25 is an uncooled VOx thermal sensor with a resolution of 384 × 288 pixels and a 12μm pixel pitch. Its NETD rating of less than 15mK indicates high thermal sensitivity, helping the device distinguish subtle temperature differences and display greater detail in scenes with limited thermal contrast.

Thermal imaging detects differences in emitted infrared radiation rather than relying on ambient light. This makes the LH25 useful for spotting heat signatures at night and in a range of challenging outdoor conditions. Actual image quality and detection performance depend on the weather, background temperatures and the target being observed.

25mm F1.0 lens with up to 1,200m detection range

The 25mm F1.0 thermal lens offers a practical balance between viewing range and scene coverage. HIKMICRO specifies a detection distance of up to 1,200 metres, making the LH25 suitable for scanning open ground and observing distant heat sources.

The device has a base magnification of 2.5×, with digital magnification extending to 20×. Its field of view is approximately 18.4 metres wide and 11.2 metres high at 100 metres, providing useful coverage when scanning a landscape.

Maximum detection distance should not be confused with the distance at which a person or animal can be positively identified. Recognition depends on target size, environmental conditions and the level of detail available in the image.

Image Pro 3.0 and Zoom Pro processing

HIKMICRO's Image Pro 3.0 processing technology enhances image sharpness and detail to help make thermal scenes easier to interpret. Zoom Pro is designed to improve image presentation when using digital magnification, helping retain useful detail as you zoom in.

The LH25 also supports Picture-in-Picture (PIP) mode. This displays a magnified section of the thermal image in a separate window while keeping the wider scene visible, allowing closer inspection without completely losing awareness of the surrounding area.

Smooth viewing with HSIS shutterless technology

The HIKMICRO Shutterless Image System (HSIS) helps provide a smoother viewing experience by reducing interruptions associated with conventional shutter-based thermal calibration. This is useful when scanning an area or following movement, where a more continuous image can make observation more comfortable.

A 50Hz thermal refresh rate supports fluid image updates, while six thermal colour palettes let you adjust the presentation to suit the scene and personal preference.

Available palettes include White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, Fusion, Red Monochrome and Green Monochrome.

High-resolution AMOLED display

The LH25 features a 0.49-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. The high-resolution screen provides a detailed viewing image, helping you examine thermal information through the monocular.

An adjustable dioptre setting allows the eyepiece to be tailored to individual eyesight. The focus ring on the lens enables manual focus adjustment, with a minimum focusing distance of approximately three metres.

Capture photos and videos

The HIKMICRO LYNX 3.0 LH25 includes 64GB of built-in storage for saving images and video recordings. Audio recording is supported, and the onboard album provides access to captured media.

Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity allows compatible smartphones or tablets to connect through the HIKMICRO Sight app for supported live viewing and media functions. Other useful features include Hot Track, which helps highlight the hottest point in the scene, and standby mode for convenient power management.

Compact, rugged and ready for the outdoors

Designed for handheld use, the LH25 weighs approximately 328.5g with its battery fitted. Its compact body is easy to carry when travelling across farmland, woodland and other outdoor environments.

An IP67 protection rating provides dust protection and protection against temporary immersion in water under the specified test conditions. The monocular is rated for operation from -30°C to 45°C, making it suitable for a wide range of outdoor temperatures.

Power comes from a replaceable, rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery. HIKMICRO specifies approximately five hours of continuous operation with the hotspot enabled at 25°C, reducing to around 4.5 hours at -20°C under its stated test conditions. Actual runtime varies with temperature, settings and usage.
